King of the Reef Rod & Spear Tournament
Red Rum Presents the 2nd Annual King of the Reef Rod & Spear Tournament! 3 Divisions including Rod and Reel, SCUBA and Freedive will each compete and place for the biggest Grouper in each Division. The Largest Grouper out of ALL 3 Divisions is named King of the Reef and Grand Prize Winner of an additional $500 in Cash! Estimated $5000+ in Cash and Prizes for all divisions!
The King of the reef Tournament was established as an event to bring the community together for a few common purposes including the hobbies of Fishing and Spearfishing, spending time with loved ones and raising awareness about those individuals who have been seriously injured or killed by a Decompression Injury (DCI) also known as “The Bends”. In October of 2021 tournament and brand founder, Daniel, received decompression sickness “the bends” and a resulting decompression injury that left him with severe nerve damage and neuropathy throughout his torso and lower extremities. He is very fortunate to have not been paralyzed and still continues to heal and progress more in his recovery. Daniel plans to utilize his efforts with Red Rum to start a foundation for those who are victims of decompression injuries sustained from SCUBA diving incidents.

Weigh In 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM
